sheltered - july 2, 2009

i was cleaning up my box (where i place my old review materials) last night and i found this notebook i bought more than year ago. and as i was scanning through the pages, i found one note i wrote last july 2, 2009 entitle sheltered, and here's what that note says...

for the past two weeks, the temperature here in LB was extremely high. it was too hot, too humid, super intolerable. Today, it rained. as i sit here on my bed writing, looking outside the window, i see heavy rain and hear thunders. people on the outside try to run as fast as they could so that they would not wet themselves up. my friend texted me and said that she's scared of the thunder.

while all the people are out there- scared, terrified and looking for a place to go, i am here inside my room...sheltered.

until today, i never realized that having a house is such a blessing. while im here, i feel secured and less worried. but why i feel blessed is more than the physical. its more than the roof of this house that protects me from the rain. its more of the understanding that there is something/someone unseen that is protecting us...even if we don't see it, at least we know it :)

"...Your hand was on me..." _Jeremiah 15:17. it doesn't take a house or a mansion to redeem you. all it takes is a mighty hand that can shield you from every thing evil that is happening out there.

its great cause in everything, God is able to reveal himself to us. like this house which sheltered me from the rain is His hand that have been sheltering me from all trials, loneliness and pain.

there is no greater feeling when you know you are at the right place - - safe and sheltered :)
