"Then be Joshua." - Adan Archie Lastica
At the start of this year, our church had our annual prayer and fasting and this year we focused on the life of Joshua - a servant destined to be a leader.
I believe God placed a heart of leadership in all of us. That is why we fear and doubt because God placed the heart there but most of the time we overlook it with our personal iniquities and failures. That is why God told Joshua to be strong and very courageous several times in the Bible because God knows that he is stubborn.
stubborn. ouch! it's like im preaching to myself here. Now I understand why the Bible tells us to not fear 366 times. Because as human, it is easier for us to stay in fear...in our comfort zones. God is telling us not to fear and step out of that comfort zone and see the fullness and beauty of his purpose for us. God is calling Joshua to be strong and courageous because He knows that it is not easy for us humans to move out of our familiar word.
I know that God is telling me to be strong and courage because only then will I learn to hold on only to Him, and only then will I see the fullness of his divine destiny for me.
I am in fear and doubt right now. wondering all the what if's and all the possibilities of running away. this night calls for a prayer night :) I need affirmation from God but that I will only happen if I listen to Him. as of this moment i am only hearing myself: my complaints, my reasons, my justifications.I just hope at the end of all this, I end up to be stong and courageous giving glory to God in the decision that I will make...just like Joshua :)
Good night! :D
